RYA Assistant Instructor Training
The AI is a competent small boat sailor who has been trained to assist instructors in teaching sailing up to the standard of the Level 2 or Stage 3 courses. They must work under the supervision of an RYA senior instructor (SI) or the chief instructor of a keelboat training centre.
As the AI’s training is limited to assisting qualified instructors and does not include first aid or powerboat handling, AIs must never be allowed to work without direct supervision

Activities, Hire & Lessons
One to One Tution
A tailored teaching experience by fully qualified coach to suit anyone's needs.
The centre is open for hire all year providing you hold level one or above certificates or are of sufficient competency in the craft that you are hiring.
Assumed Knowledge: None or little knowledge or experience
Equipment used: Laser Stratos and Picos. Palm Buoyancy Aids.
Instructor Qualifications: Senior Instructor, Dinghy Instructor, Assistant Instructor. First Aid Trained. DBS checked. Fully Insured.
Minimum Duration: 1 hour taster sessions up to 1 day course (10am -4pm lunch 1 hour)
Minimum Age: 8-16 Youth 16+ Adult
Activity Content: Basic Introduction to sailing
Ability After Activity: Rig boat with assistance and sail boat with assistance.
