Peddle Boats and Rowboats

Traditional family row boats and peddle boats are available for hire 7 days a week. Bookings for schools, groups & wedding photos are available. 

You do not need to book for General hire - All general hire is operated on a first come first served basis. 
 Whether it’s a treat for all the family or a romantic evening with your partner, hiring a row boat or peddle boat is a great way to enjoy the wonderful surroundings, including islands, waterfalls, and fun activities.

General Hire

All Boat hire is on a first come first served basis and does not have to be booked. Card payments are welcome. 

Row Boats: seats up to 4 people (2 adults and 2 small children at the discretion of Mote Park Watersports Centre Staff. Dogs are welcome on the boats)

Swans and Dragons: seat 4 adults and 2 small young children at the discretion of Mote Park Watersports Centre Staff. Dogs are welcome on the boats.

Payment - Card, Cash and Bank transfers welcome

Prices - £20 for half hour £25 for 1 hour per boat

Buoyancy aids for all are available at no extra cost (T-shirts must be worn with these).

£10 deposit may be required but fully refunded, once the crafts are returned in a suitable condition.

Management reserve the right to refuse hire to any person, as well as the right to recall individuals if inappropriate behaviour occurs, any monies will not be refunded.

Paddlesports general hire 

At Mote Park, we have a range of paddlesports equipment for general hire including Kayaks, Canoes and Paddleboards. Booking is NOT required, all are served on a first come first serve basis.

Cost -  £20 per person for an hour

We have single and tandem crafts available.

Buoyancy aids or Leashes (in the case of paddleboards) must be worn at all times when hiring. Failure to do so will result in your hire being suspended and no monies will be refunded.

£10 deposit may be required but fully refunded, once the crafts are returned in a suitable condition.

LAKE RULES

  • No smoking on the boats 
  • Do not go under trees 
  • Stay within the boating area (designated marker buoys)
  • Stay away from any fishermen
  • Do not let other passengers on once you leave the quayside
  • If you need any help shout and wave
  • Please notify a staff member if you have any medical needs that we need to be aware of before you start your activity
  • Please return the boat to where you boarded 
  • Buoyancy Aids are free to borrow when hiring from the centre (when using your own equipment this is chargeable) – please ask any member of staff (we have over 300+ on site)
  • Adults are responsible for children’s actions and welfare
  • Do not climb on the top of the vessel – you risk falling in
  • Do not ram boats into each other 
  • Please be back on time
  • Please consider other people on the lake
  • Please remain within or next to your craft at all times
  • Please take your litter with you when you leave
  • Any abusive language or aggressive behaviour on the lake will result in your time will be cut short and you will be asked to leave without refund
  • No swimming in the lake
  • Any lost or damaged equipment is chargeable 
  • Boats will move when getting on and off - Please watch your footing
  • Please wait to be assisted by a staff member before getting on and off any craft
  • If in doubt don’t go out 
  • If you pay you agree to these rules 
  • Enjoy and have fun
  • Boat hire rules and regulations may change without notice and you must keep yourself aware of these on the website before hire use.

Please note: Any items left are entirely at the owner's risk. Mote Park Watersports Centre or its staff accept no liability for any damages or losses sustained.
